So a couple of programs I wrote in VB.Net failed to run on Windows 8 with a bizarre, “Unable to load DLL ‘SQLite.Interop.dll’ error.  “The module could not be found.”

Argh.  But it was there.

OK.  Short answer, was that it needed msvcr120.dll.  Previous versions of SQLite needed msvcr100.dll, but I’d updated SQLite to v1.0.105, which now needed a newer version.  Excellent.

The .dll can be downloaded from a wodge of places online, or here.  Just place it in the application directory.
